How we all learn together, stay safe, and have a brilliant lesson.
These help every lesson run smoothly so everyone can learn, feel safe and have fun. Let's go!
Learners may speak during the lesson by raising their hand and waiting for the teacher to give permission before unmuting.
Lesson tools and features may only be used when the teacher has given permission.
Educational games may be used at the end of the lesson as a reward for positive participation and engagement.
Learners may be offered a short 1โ2 minute break during longer lessons if they have participated appropriately throughout the session.
Cameras should remain off unless specifically requested by the teacher. This helps minimise distractions and protects the privacy of all learners.
Emojis and reactions should only be used when permitted by the teacher.
Screen sharing is not permitted for learners.
Where games are used, the teacher will control the activity and learners will participate by providing answers. This helps maintain a safe and appropriate learning environment. Learners will not be able to join from their own devices to prevent the use of inappropriate nicknames.
Learners are expected to use respectful and appropriate language at all times. Repeated inappropriate comments or behaviour may result in removal from lessons while the matter is addressed.
The chat box should be used for lesson-related communication only. Social conversations between learners should take place outside lesson time.
Learners should remain present and engaged throughout the lesson. If they need to leave their workstation after getting permission from the supervising teacher, they should inform the Purple Ruler teacher beforehand.
Teachers have the final decision on lesson expectations, participation methods, and the use of classroom tools to ensure a positive learning environment for everyone.
Be kind, be ready, and give it your best try. We're all here to help you shine.
